Park Tool FR-2 Bicycle Freewheel Removal Tool - 2-Notch SunTour

Park Tool offers a full range of tools for bicycle freewheel removal and installation. The FR-2 fits the two-notch tool fittings found on older SunTour freewheels. Thin wall construction allows use without removal of cones and locknuts. The 1" hexagonal base can be used in conjunction with a socket, wrench, or bench vise. Heat treated alloy tool steel construction for a lifetime of use.

The two notches of the FR-2 are approximately 25mm across measured outside to outside. Center bore for axle clearance is 10mm.

CASSETTE OR FREEWHEEL? To determine the type of rear sprocket system you have, find the tool fitting on the sprocket set. Spin the sprockets backwards. If the fitting spins with the cogs, it is a cassette system. If the tool fitting does not spin with the cogs, it is a freewheel system.	COUNT THE NOTCHES To determine the type of freewheel tool needed, count the number of splines or notches in the tool fitting. If there are 2 notches, the FR-2 is the correct tool.	THE RIGHT TOOLS FOR THE JOB In addition to the correct tool, you will also need a method of driving it such as the Park Tool FRW-1 wrench, an adjustable wrench, or a 1" socket.

Always use a skewer or axle nut to hold remover firmly in place. Not recommended for Sun Tour four to six notch freewheels. Thin wall construction allows use without removal of cones and locknuts. Heat treated alloy tool steel, one inch base fits wrench or bench vise. Fits older Sun Tour two notch freewheels.
