In the late 1800s, early 1900s, researchers and inventors began exploring the potential health benefits of ozone, thanks to the scientific work produced by Nikola Tesla and his research on Ozone. Ozone, a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms, was recognized for its antimicrobial properties. It was found that ozone could be trapped inside oil: the process of bubbling ozone gas into olive oil resulted in the creation of an ozonated olive oil, sometimes known as Glycozone. The resulting product gained attention and was soon found in applications of alternative and complementary medicine due to the antimicrobial effect of ozonated oils when applied topically. Ozonated oil now has a long history in medical therapy.

We produce our ozonated oils by trapping ozone (O3), which is reactive trioxygen containing 3 oxygen atoms, into various oils by using a process named ozone injection. Ozone injection is where highly concentrated ozone gas produced by a medical ozone generator fed by pure medical grade oxygen is bubbled through pure organic carrier oils, producing microscopic bubbles of ozone which pass through the oil. We do this to our oils continuously for several days. This traps the maximum amount of ozone possible to form a very highly oxygenated oil and thus, provides the oil with powerful antimicrobial properties. Due to how long our oil is ozonated for, it smells very strongly of ozone.
