Mate is a traditional South American drink, which is healthy and natural, made from the dried leaves of the Ilex paraguariensis, a subtropical tree.

We have selected 4 organic mates from Brazil and brought them together in this set, which makes the perfect gift or even just to treat yourself.

With a similar taste to tea, and energising like coffee, but without all the downsides of coffee, this traditional drink from South America has built up quite a following: Griezmann, Messi, Obama, Pope François… people from all different backgrounds have fallen in love with this energising detox drink.


Le Sauvage: the elegant mate Le Sauvage is a traditional mate made from good quality leaves, without any dust and very few stems, for a perfect balance between character and subtlety. Its aromatic notes are reminiscent of green tea, but with the full strength of a mate and a slightly bitter taste.	Le Fruité: fresh and full of vitamins Le Fruité is perfumed with notes of orange which sweeten the mate, and add a fruity taste and extra vitamins. This is a mate which everyone loves: ideal for any season, delicious warm or iced, those who are looking for a mate which is close to a flavoured green tea will particularly like it.	Le Tonique: a spicy and fruity mate With its notes of ginger and lemon (natural aromas, organic peel), le Tonique is unashamedly spicy and fruity, with a touch of heat: a mate which will revive you and give you a boost! Le Tonique is just as good hot in winter, when its spicy flavour is warming, or iced in summer, when its fruity character really comes out with the fresh notes of ginger.	Le Frais: an invigorating mate Delicately perfumed with notes of mint and lemon (natural aromas, mint, lemongrass), le Frais will appeal to those who enjoy an aromatic mate with a refreshing and tangy taste. With its menthol notes, le Frais is amazing as an iced tea and perfect in summer, but it can also be enjoyed hot!

Preparing your mate


Traditional method Mate is traditionally drunk through a bombilla (a filtering straw) in a calebasse (a mate cup): a way of enjoying it which makes it taste even better!	Térere (local infusion) iced mate Cold or iced mate, also known as "Tereré", is a very common method of serving mate in Paraguay, which is also very popular in Brazil and Argentina when it is very hot. Our pretty box, in recyclable cardboard, is printed by a small French company. The set is packaged in France in a work reintegration centre for workers with disabilities.
