Why is Consuming Organic Cranberry Beans Beneficial For You

They can be served hot with butter or olive oil, but are particularly good served at room temperature with olive oil, lemon juice, and chopped fresh parsley. Organic Cranberry Beans make an excellent cold bean salad, soak and cook them as you would any other dried bean (approx. 30 minutes cooking time) and then toss them with olive oil and a little Italian salad dressing, or lemon and herbs.

How to Cook Cranberry Beans

The first step in making any dish with these beans is to cook them in the right way. You should start with soaking them.

Soak them for at least 4 hours, up to 12 hours;
Pour out the water, rinse them thoroughly, and add 3 cups of fresh water per each cup of beans;
Let them boil for 10 minutes, lower the heat, and let the beans simmer for 1 to 1 ½ hours. If you wish, you can skim off the foam;
Salt should be added during the last 10 minutes of cooking. The same concerns acidic seasonings;
Add bay leaves, onion, garlic, and other spices at the beginning beginning of cooking.
