Please note, plating only works on direct touch/contact with Brass, Copper, Bronze or unpassivated Nickel (please remove any lacquer). It doesn't work on other metals such as Lead, Steel etc or on plastic, organic material, through lacquer or other brands of polish eg Brasso.

Common issues

The solution only works on direct contact with Brass, Copper or Bronze.

If you experience any issues, please test the solution on a copper coin FIRST to see how it should work.

Common problems are:-

The metal you are plating is not Brass, Copper or Bronze. The solution does not work on other metals e.g. Lead.
The solution needs direct touch/contact to work, please remove any lacquer first
Ensure you are rubbing the solution onto the metal e.g. with cotton wool.

How to use the Silver Plating Solution

Directions

Please remove any lacquer first

1. Wear gloves - pure silver turns black on contact with skin, this is NOT harmful but isn't a good look!

2. Shake the bottle before use

3. Apply with a clean soft cloth or cotton wool to the area to be cleaned or plated and rub firmly for 15 to 20 seconds

4. Polish gently with a clean, dry cloth for an immediate shine

NB only works on direct touch/contact with Copper, Brass, Bronze or unpassivated Nickel
If the solution does come into contact with your skin, the stain should disappear within a week
