This NURSE KATE PORTABLE SHAMPOO BASIN SET includes the inflatable basin, a hand held air pump, a non-kinking drainage hose, a fabulously designed water sprayer on a 2 1/2 gallon water bag, and a MESH BAG is included for storage. As a nurse, having used a similar basin with patients, I changed many of the features to create this easy to use set. The comfort of your loved one is vitally important when performing acts of care. Using the hand held AIR PUMP makes quick work in filling the hair shampoo sink. Hold the pump nozzle in the outermost portion of the two part air valve, with one hand. Use your other hand to hold onto, and slide the red tube on the pump, back and forth. Fill the basin pillow using the same method. If you have a softer mattress you will need less air inflated because of sinking into the mattress, this will tip a basin up if filled very firm. Be sure to test for comfort and ability to drain well based on the firmness of your mattress. Easily uncap the valve that is closest to the basin if too much air was pumped in.
