Putting on socks every day should not be difficult or stressful, but for those who can't reach their toes, it can be. The Norco Molded Sock Aid was explicitly designed to minimize bending of the back, hips, and knees.

Did we think of everythingWe think we did. We have been designing and manufacturing for over 4 decades and with this experience comes knowledge and know-how. We designed this sock device to be durable enough to withstand years of use while at the same time provide comfort by seeking materials that could be finished off with soft edges to protect skin, socks, and stockings. We then took a unique approach and designed in triangle handles to minimize bending of the wrist and to encourage the use of larger muscle groups to pull socks up rather than relying exclusively on hands that may be swollen, painful or lack fine motor control to perform such a task.

Norco Molded Sock Aid - Two-Handles

Our sock aid extends your reach 38" to avoid bending at the waist to reach toes. Using a sock aid takes practice initially but with these helpful hints, you will be well on your way to putting your own socks on again.

Place Molded Sock Aid between legs to hold or lay flat on lap with top of device resting against abdomen while placing sock over device.
Make sure the heel of the sock is towards the back of the sock aid when placing opening of the sock on the device.
Ease the sock up the length of the sock aid, gathering the sock evenly as you go.
Lower the sock aid in front of your foot on the floor.
Pointing toes downward, slide your foot into the opening placing toes towards the end of the trough.
Pull upward on straps to bring sock over heel and up leg.
Helpful hints – Makes sure socks are fully loaded with opening of sock at the top of sock aid and heel stretched flat at the bottom of the Sock Aid. If feet are damp, dust foot or device with powder.
