For best results always clean rug first with Nikwax® Rug Wash. No need to dry item(s) before waterproofing. It is vital that rugs are washed and rinsed thoroughly. Shake well before use. Follow care label instructions. Machine Wash * 1. Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser. * 2. Place clean rug in washing machine. * 3. Use 500ml for 1 rug. Treat 1 rug per load. * 4. Run 30° cotton cycle. Hand Wash (use gloves) * 1. Use 500ml for 1 rug, with 10 litres of hand-hot water in vessel. * 2. Agitate tio mix, push down into vessel so that whole rug is immersed. * 3. Add a further 15 litres of warm water to cover rug and agitate. * 4. Leave to soak for 2 hours, agitating occasionally. * 5. Rinse in cold water until water runs clear. Sponge Application (use gloves) * 1. Spread clean rug on clean area and wet through with a hose. * 2. Use 500ml for 1 rug, with 1.5 litres of hand-hot water. * 3. Using a new sponge apply solution to rug, working into fabric and seams. * 4. Use any surplus on back area of rug, leave for 5-10 minutes. * 5. Rinse in cold water until water runs clear. Drying Air dry or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows. WHEN TO USE THIS PRODUCT... Always apply this product to new or used horse rugs to keep items in perfect water-repellent condition.
