How to Use Green Banana Flour?

Properties of Green Banana Flour :

Directions of Use:

Green Banana flour is a great binder in any kind of Gluten free or Vegan dough preparation, as it high in natural resistant starch component, which makes the dough suitable for making flat breads like pizza, Indian breads (chapatis), cookies, cakes & breads. You can use it for making instant pancakes, crepes. It can be mixed with other gluten free flours like almond, coconut or buckwheat flour to improve the dough consistency and gives a perfect flavour.

  • For Baking - Use 30% less banana flour than suggested flour as per your recipe. Use luke-warm water while making dough.
  • For making delicious milkshakes or porridge, mix it with water or milk and cook on low flame. Recommended to use 1-2 tbsp for raw intake.
  • As a THICKENING AGENT for Gravies ,Curries & sauces –Add a tablespoon of Banana flour to your recipe instead of using cornflour or refined flour

NihKan Green Banana Flour is produced using Solar Conduction drying (SCD) for dehydration a 100% natural and sustainable technology. This gentle drying process preserves the nutritional quality of the produce. Green bananas are peeled, chopped and dried and then ground into flour. The green banana process requires 8-10kg of raw green bananas to produce 1kg of banana flour.

We follow the highest-grade food safety measures & process in a BRCS certified hygienic environment to ensure that there is no microbial contamination & that we deliver best in class quality product. Our facility is gluten free and is safe for consumption by Gluten allergies/food intolerances.

Mix all ingredients :

  • 1 cup NihKan Green Banana Flour
  • 1 cup milk or milk alternative
  • 1tbsp Maple Syrup / 1tsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Vanilla Essence
  • 1 tsp - Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp oil

You can use butter/oil on non stick pan & make small pancakes and serve with toppings of your choice like chocolate sauce, honey, fruits.

Gluten free Banana Flour Choco Chip Cake

Mix all Ingredients & Bake @180 Degree Celsius for 30 mins.

  • 1 cup NihKan Green Banana Flour & ½ cup Millet flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1+1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup oil or butter
  • 2 large eggs (or vegan alternative like flaxseeds 2 tbsp)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract & some choco chips.

Gluten free Pizzas

1. For one pizza base, take 1/2 cup NihKan Green banana flour, add salt, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking powder, add little warm water to the mixture and knead a soft dough.

2. Now, with your hands on a rolling board, make a flat round bread. Bake it for 20 minutes @220 Degree Celsius.

3. Put pizza sauce, toppings of your choice and shredded cheese.

4. Add spices of your choice - salt, pepper, oregano and chilli flakes.

5. Bake it for another 20 minutes @180 Degree Celsius.
