Our rich sweetness comes from sweet fibers and an extract from the Stevia plant and a hint of sucralose. We also use an ingredient found naturally in, for example, pears and grapes (Erythritol). Even though Erythritol might sound a bit chemical, your body is used to it from all the fruit you've eaten ever since you were a kid. These sweet ingredients contain virtually no calories and do not have a blood sugar impact like regular sugar does. Trivia: A Protein wafer / Sport-Crunch contains 10 grams of protein, which for most people, is a sufficient Protein supplement of about 15-20% of the daily requirement. Are you a man doing strength training, we recommend two Protein wafers in connection with the exercise. What sweeteners do you use? We use sweeteners such as stevia, xylitol, erythritol and sucralose which gives the bars a sweet mouthfeel, but with a minimal blood sugar effect.
Why do not you use wheat? Wheat consists mostly of starch, which are chains of glucose that the body converts to just that - glucose - lightning fast!
Do you use palm oil in your products? Nope, no palm oil is present in any of our products. Good, isn't it? We instead use vegetable oil in the form of sunflower, shea and coconut.
Can I eat NICKS when I follow a low calorie diet? Of course! If you are disciplined and good at planning your calorie intake, our products can definitely be accommodated. Maybe not every day but definitely sometime!
