Submerge the nightguard into the hot water(176 F-185F). Leave it in the hot water for 10~15s, less than 20s. Make sure to keep the time precisely to achieve the best results. The dental guard needs to be soft enough to be molded. 3. Remove the dental guard from the hot water. Be careful not to burn yourself. 4. Place the dental guard over your upper teeth. The nightguard needs to be molded at this point. Bite into the nightguard gently while also pressing it with your fingers from the front of your teeth. (Do not bite too hard. Use your fingers to press the guard from the center outwards to achieve best results.) Make sure to use a thermometer to measure the water temperature at 176-185 °F, if too hot it will be too soft, or too cold it will not be soft enough. If the time exceeds 20 seconds, it will become too soft.
