The RX440(RDP) cloud-ready thin client is built on the Raspberry Pi 4 platform to achieve compelling performance and value. Designed for Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365 Cloud PC, & Remote Desktop Services (RDS), VERDE VDI, VERDE Remote PC Access, as well as vSpace Pro Enterprise, the RX440(RDP) bring premium performance and native dual display support, providing a rich PC-like experience in an affordable, energy saving device with a small footprint.

RX440(RDP) provides a simple-to-deploy, centrally managed, high-performance virtual desktop. It features full-screen, full-motion HD multimedia playback with support for Microsoft RemoteFX and NComputing vCAST Streaming, WiFi connectivity, native dual display connections and built-in transparent USB redirection achieving unparalleled peripheral support.

Please Note: The only difference between these RX440(RDP) and RX420(RDP) is RAM. RX420 has 2GB of RAM and is sufficient for normal operation. RX440 has 4GB of RAM, and is recommended for use cases that rely heavily on the local Chromium browser with multiple open tabs.

Multimedia enhancement through Microsoft RemoteFX and NComputing vCAST streaming support

Enabling the Microsoft RemoteFX feature for Remote Desktop connection greatly enhances the user's visual experience. Host systems equipped with supported graphic cards will especially benefit.

NComputing vCAST Streaming technology for RDP reduces the overall server-side CPU usage for web videos like YouTube or local media content without the need for expensive GPUs. This allows for higher quality media streaming utilizing the network bandwidth without server CPU bottlenecks, thereby supporting more concurrent users. A separate license is required for NComputing vCAST for RDP.

The new RX440(RDP) thin client comes with premium performance and native dual display support. The thin client is equipped with 2 micro HDMI ports.

INTEGRATED LOCAL CHROMIUM BROWSER

RX440(RDP)'s integrated local Chromium browser provides additional flexibility for direct access of web content and web apps without desktop virtualization.

The integrated Chromium browser can be configured for stand-alone kiosk mode, or productivity mode where the user can use the local browser side-by-side with their virtualized apps/desktops envrionment.


Centralized Device Management The RX440(RDP) is easily configured using PMC Device Management software by NComputing. An admin can remotely manage RX440(RDP) devices over local and wide-area networks, including locations behind firewalls and NAT-routers through an easy-to-use, web-based user interface. Administrators setup device profiles complete with all settings and configurations, then push the profile to individual or grouped devices.	Ethernet or WiFi connections RX440(RDP) comes with built-in 10/100/1000 Ethernet and WiFi (802.11 b/g/n/ac) with Personal and Enterprise 802.1x security authentication support. Organizations are no longer bound to the wiring infrastructure and can deploy RX440(RDP) in any location with Wi-Fi access to deliver the desktop experience.	Broad USB peripheral support With integrated transparent USB redirection, RX440(RDP) utilizes device drivers from the server side to provide extensive peripheral support including mass storage, smart card readers, audio devices, printers, imaging devices (e.g., webcams), serial devices, HID and custom devices (identified by Vendor ID and Product ID).
