Our sheep casings are sourced from New Zealand farms, where the animals are grass fed and free to roam our rolling green hills. They are also free of artificial additives and growth hormones and fully traceable from the farm gate to your plate.

Our natural hog casings come from pigs born and raised in New Zealand, where the animal welfare standards are some of the toughest in the world.

The New Zealand Casings Company is owned and run by Luke & Tracy Kavanagh.

Luke is seriously passionate about the age-old craft of making natural casings and is also a fanatical sausage maker – so he knows his sausage stuff.

Luke and Tracy set out to make the best sausage casings in the world and they wanted craft butchers and home sausage makers to have access to our best, 'A Grade' product, so his is what our internet packs contain. We hope you enjoy them.

CERTIFIED HALAL SHEEP CASINGS

Our natural sausage casings are Certified Halal by the New Zealand Islamic Development Trust*. They are processed in our dedicated sheep casings facility in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand that only processed sheep casings.

We currently supply our halal certified sheep casings to sausage makers in Egypt, Turkey, UAE and Saudi Arabia under strict halal requirements.

Our Hog Casings are processed in a separate facility in Australia.
