Haritaki - A Significant Ingredient In Ayurvedic Medicine

Haritaki is a small, nut-like fruit of the Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) tree, a deciduous tree native to southern Asia. Known as the “King of Medicine”, every part of the Haritaki fruit possesses rejuvenating properties, from its tender pulp to its seeds and peel. This dried fruit is one of the three musketeers that constitute the well-known Triphala formulation. Aside from its ability to balance vata dosha, Haritaki helps support the body's innate cleansing process. Other names by which Haritaki is called include Harad, Haleelaz, Karedha, Kaddukai, Harde, and Hemaj.
