Yoshino Honkuzu is a starch made from the root of kudzu, which is one of Japan's most representative kudzu roots with a smooth, clear, and rich taste. The food made with Yoshino Honkuzu is beautiful in appearance, flavor, and taste. Its taste is different from other starches, and it conveys the nature and tradition that Japan represents.

The production process is so meticulous that Yoshino Honkuzu is registered as a Japanese brand.

100g Kuzu

400cc water

1TBS Sugar

2TBS soybean flour

1TS Kuromitsu

1.Put a Kuzu powder into a bowl.

2. Add a cup of water into the bowl and mix it and strain again.

3. Mix it well

4. Put the Kuzu in a small pan and simmer over low to medium heat.

5. Simmer the Kuzu until it becomes transparent and thick, stirring frequently.

6. When the white color disappears and becomes transparent, place in cold water to cool down

7.Once cooled, cut into favorite size and serve with Kinako, Sugar, and Kuromitsu.

It tastes best when freshly made and soft.

Water 250~300g

Kinako and Sugar

Kuromitsu (brown syrup)

1.Put a Kuzu powder into a strainer and put it into a bowl.

2. Add a cup of water into the bowl and mix it and strain again.

3. Pour the Kuzu watery mixture into the small baking tray or platter.

4.Fill a large pot with water and prepare hot boiled water. (temp )

5.While grabbing the Kuzu tray with tongs, float the tray on top of the hot water and

move the tray from left to right on the hot water.

6.Move it Kuzu tray softly until the surface is dry and the thickness of the Kuzu is even.

7.When the surface of the Kuzu is dry, sink it directly into the hot water.

8.When the Kuzu becomes transparent, remove the Kuzu from the tray and plunge it into ice water.

9.Cut the scraps into bite-sized pieces. Usually cut into thin strips of about 5 mm.

Fresh Smooth Peach Kuzu Jelly

The fresh jelly made with Yoshino Honkuzu is easy to make for everyone to try the delicious taste of Yoshino Honkuzu. The taste that gently melts in your mouth can only be experienced with Yoshino Honkuzu.

60g Kudzu

170cc Water

70cc Canned peach syrup

( for additional syrup: 20cc Peach syrup )

1.Put a Kuzu powder into a bowl.

2. Add a cup of water and peach syrup into the bowl and mix it and strain again.

3. Mix it well.

4. Put the Kuzu in a small pan and simmer over low to medium heat.

5. Simmer the Kuzu until it becomes transparent and thick, stirring frequently.

6. When the white color disappears and becomes transparent, place in cold water to cool down.

7.After cooling, cut into favored size. Pour the peach syrup again and add your favorite fruit. Garnish with your favorite fruit.
