3 Ingredient Whipped Shea Body Butter

100g Organic Shea Butter
50ml Jojoba Oil
1.5ml (30 drops) Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Melt the Shea Butter in a Bain Marie or in the microwave.
Once melted, pour in Jojoba Oil and stir continuously for a minute or two.
Pop the mixture in the fridge or freezer to cool quickly. Keep an eye on it, it’s ready for whipping once it has a semi solid cream coloured consistency.
Add the essential oil, we’ve chosen Orange for a lovely zesty scent but you can choose whichever essential oil you like.
Use an electric whisk to whip up the butter until it is light and fluffy.
Transfer your gorgeously, creamy body butter to a suitable jar and label.

Our Organic Shea Butter is ethically sourced from a women’s cooperative in Wa, northern Ghana.


Hand made The women meticulously collect, sort and shell the fruits by hand. The nuts are roasted to release the nutrient rich oils within, and the mixture is carefully hand kneaded transforming it into the pale, creamy butter in its most natural form.	New production facility Naissance has helped fund a new purpose-built production and storage facility for a safe and clean area to produce their shea, enabling the cooperative to upscale operations, empowering the community to invest in their business.	Building wells We have also funded several wells for local communities, giving access to clean water, meaning the children no longer have to walk miles every day for fresh water, and instead, can stay in school and concentrate on their education.	Shaping futures What started out with just a handful of women, now employs over 800 local women and supports over 1400 local people giving access to health care, education and a consistent income, helping to make a better life for themselves and their families.
