A Gentle Reusable Self Adherent Silicone Sheet for Managing Scars

Mepiform is a thin and discreet silicone sheet with Safetac technology designed for the management of both old and new scars. Safetac technology’s soft silicone gently adheres to the skin and conforms well to the body’s contours1. Dressings with Safetac technology are atraumatic upon removal minimizing patients pain and discomfort during removal.

Hypertrophic scars occurs when the scar bubbles or raises above the wound while Keloid scarring occurs when the skins raises or bubbles outside the original wound area to the surrounding skin.

Mepiform is shown to have a positive impact on hypertrophic or keloid scarring after plastic surgery, caesarean sections or burn injuries 2. Optimally, Mepiform should be worn 24 hours a day but is ok to removed once a day, when bathing and washing of the skin.


1. Remove the release film. If needed, cut to shape.	2. Apply Mepiform to the scar. Make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free from any ointments.	3. Reapply after daily cleaning of the scar.
