We are a family-owned company from Cyprus, the most eastern island of the Mediterranean Sea and one of the most interesting as well, due to its rich history and diverse flora. We have been operating in Limassol for the past 20 years and are dedicated to producing unique, quality products from natural sources such as raw honey, extra virgin olive oil, pomegranates, carobs, capers, tahini and aromatic herbs, all from the land of Cyprus.

Every November, during the Koroneiki olive harvest, our own olives are milled in the village with a large olive grove near Paphos.
In spring, when the citrus trees blossom, the bee hives are moved to Fasouri, near Limassol. There, the bees collect nectar not only from the blossom of orange trees, but also from a variety of plants, herbs and trees that blossom during spring. In summer, we move beehives to the mountains where bees find flowers with enough nectar to support honey production. We source our raw honey and other raw ingredients as much as possible from our island.

Mellona's production process is simple. We do not do much, other than mix 2-3 natural and mainly raw ingredients to create our lovely products. They are simple and clean with no artificial flavourings, preservatives and, of course, no sugar.

This very unique, creamy golden honey is the purest, most nutritious form of honey. 100% raw, it is the honey that comes directly from the honeycomb without heating, without pasteurization or any kind of processing. It is the healthiest choice amongst the various forms of honey as it has the most nutritional value and contains amylase, an enzyme concentrated in flower pollen which helps predigest starchy foods like breads. This raw honey comes from blossoms of scented Mediterranean flora such as Myrophora (wild Cyprus lavender), spatzia (sage), lapsana (rapeseed) and orange blossom. Many varieties of native herbs and flowers are unique to the world, and so is this fine honey produced from them.
