It takes the best fresh fruit to produce quality dried fruit products. Which is why Mariani insists on close personal contact with growers throughout the year.

In the Orchards, we make sure harvesting is conducted only after the sun-ripened fruit has reached maximum maturity. We have maintained long-standing relationships with our growers for over 50 years.

Bacon-Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Goat Cheese

Ingredients

12 Mariani Pitted Dates
1 cup balsamic vinegar
4oz. goat cheese
4 TBSP fresh sage (chopped)
6 strips applewood smoked bacon (cut in half)

Directions

Simmer balsamic vinegar in a small skillet over medium heat, 2-4 minutes until reduced.
Cool, set aside.
Preheat broiler. In a bowl, mix goat cheese and chopped sage.
Stuff each date with about one tsp. of goat cheese-sage mixture.
Wrap each date with bacon and place on foil lined baking tray.
Broil for 5-7 minutes, until bacon is crisp.
Drizzle with reduced balsamic vinegar and serve warm.
