A: It's normal that after curing it leaves a gel residue. You can just wipe off the gel residue/ the sticky layer with rubbing alcohol or nail cleanser liquid and go ahead for the next step. And please note that the thicker you apply the gel, the longer it needs to be cured. Usually, it takes 90s to cure a thin layer, and 120s or more to cure a thicker layer of nail gel

Q: Do I always need to remove the residue every time the gel's cured by a nail lamp?

A: No, you don't need to when you apply it as a base coat. Leave alone the gel residue and continue the next step. But you do need to wipe off the gel residue if you apply the builder nail gel for nail extension or to build the nail apex or for other applications except the base coat.
