Wales receives a lot of rainfall and with high levels of rain, the plants have access to ample water to create high-quality nectar. That together with good quality soil makes it a fantastic location for nectar-giving plants and for producing scrumptious Welsh wildflower honey. What is also quite unique about Wales is its landscape. It has a vast changing landscape from sea cliffs, rolling green hills, majestic rivers running through valleys, forestry and mountain regions. Our wildflower honey is made up of nectar from the following trees and plants in the main; Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Horse Chestnut, Bramble, Clover, Himalayan Balsam, Rosebay Willow herbs, Dandelion, Cherry, various apple and plum trees, Lime tree, Sycamore, Willow, Snow drops, Bluebells and Ivy...as well as a small amount of flowers and vegetables that are grown in people’s gardens.
