King Prawn Noodle Recipe

TERIYAKI BEEF NOODLES

Preparation:

  1. Place the Lucky Boat No.1 Thick noodles in boiling water. Remove from the heat and leave them to soak for 6 minutes until cooked.
  2. Stir frequently to separate noodles and drain.
  3. Put the beef slices in a bowl with a pinch of salt, rice wine or Hamadaya Japanese mirin and 1 tbsp corn starch, mix well and set aside for 8 minutes

Cooking:

  1. Roast the broccoli for 3 minutes in oven at 160°C. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or pan and fry the marinated beef for about 1-2 minutes until cooked rare.
  2. Add the Lucky Boat No. 1 Thick noodles and red pepper and keep stirring for ½ minute.
  3. Add the Hamadaya teriyaki sauce and a few drops of water, continue to mix well.
  4. Add the roasted broccoli and mix well.
  5. Drizzle with sesame oil for fragrance.

THAI YELLOW TOFU CURRY

Preparation:

  1. Place the Lucky Boat No. 1 thick noodles in boiling water.
  2. Remove from the heat and leave them to soak for 8 minutes until cooked.
  3. Stir frequently to separate noodles and drain.

Cooking:

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pot. Add the yellow Thai curry paste, lemongrass, shrimp paste, Rajah ginger and turmeric powder. Cook for 1 minute until it deepens in colour.
  2. Add water, fish sauce, palm sugar and coconut milk. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes until the flavour intensifies.
  3. Heat a wok or pan, add the curry sauce and bring to the boil for 1 minute.
  4. Add bamboo shoot slices, wild mushrooms, chilli, bean sprouts and Lucky Boat No. 1 Thick noodles. Bring to the boil again for 1 minute.

KING PRAWN CHOW MEIN

Preparation:

  1. Place the Lucky Boat No.1 Thick noodles in boiling water.
  2. Remove from the heat and leave them to soak for 8 minutes until cooked.
  3. Stir frequently to separate noodles and drain.

Cooking:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or pan and stir fry king prawns and red onion slices. Cook for 2 minutes.
  2. Add Lucky Boat No.1 Thick noodles, beansprouts and stock into wok/pan and mix well.
  3. Add Hamadaya light soy sauce and dark soy sauce for seasoning.
  4. Once the sauce coats the noodles, add red pepper and spring onions and stir well for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Continue cooking for 30 seconds and add the sesame oil.
