Ruling pen is a drawing instrument for drawing with ink, paint, or any fluid medium with the viscosity to flow. The two parts of the ruling pen tip hold ink or with other drawing fluids between them by capillary action. It enables precise rendering of thin lines, the line width can be adjusted by turning the screw which connects the jaws. For drawing of lines and borders in ink, watercolors and gouache, and can be used for applying masking fluid.
