A Diet Staple Live Food for your Reptile

Scientifically known as Gryllus assimilis, Silent Brown crickets are a highly nutritious food source for reptiles. They are rich in protein, and contain important vitamins and minerals, such as calcium and phosphorus. In addition are relatively low in fat, and easy to digest, which can be important for reptiles with sensitive digestive systems. Live Food also helps to stimulate natural hunting instincts. This can be particularly important for captive reptiles, as it can help to keep them mentally and physically stimulated.

Live Food Care

Keep in an appropriately sized ventilated container with a lid around 25-30 degrees Celsius. Crickets don't need any substrates, but offer somewhere for them to hide such as cardboard tubes. Dry foods should always be available, and offer fresh fruit or veg, or bug gel for hydration. Do not offer water in a dish as they may drown. Before feeding to your reptile dust with an appropriate supplement.
