Easy to Apply


Preparation Remove any moisturizers, lotions, or soap. Any products or moisture may prevent the liquid from polymerizing. Do not use on deep, infected, or puncture wounds. Do not use near eyes, mouth, inner nose, or mucus membranes.	Application Apply to clean dry skin. Remove the applicator from the protective Tyvek package. Point the tip toward the ground and firmly squeeze the middle of the applicator (with your thumb and forefinger) to activate the inner vial. You will hear and feel the ‘pop’ of the vial activating. Continue to hold the applicator upside down and begin applying pressure on the tube to load DuraDerm SPORT through the filter and into the tip Applying more pressure will deliver more fluid to the applicator tip, but be cautious of over-squeezing To slow down the flow, release pressure on the stick When tip is saturated, apply the liquid evenly on and around the wound Cover the entire area, at least 1 inch beyond the wound's edges. Momentary stinging may occur. DuraDerm SPORT will dry in less than one minute when used at room temperature and form a transparent, flexible barrier.	Care Ensure the area has completely dried before covering it with clothing, additional dressings, or athletic tape. Once completely dry, DuraDerm SPORT will not adhere to clothing or sheets. For elite athletes, the best time to apply is after showering or before bed. Depending on skin type, humidity, activity level, and friction on the application surface, DuraDerm SPORT will naturally wear off over 24 to 72 hours but may last longer when covered with additional dressing or areas that receive less friction and use The dry film covering should be inspected frequently for leakage and loosening of the edges. You may see raised edges of the DuraDerm SPORT polymer after swimming, showering, or physical activity. Additional layers may be applied over the existing product if the dry film begins to slough off or peel around the edges. To remove the film, wash the area with soap and water and gently peel it off, starting at the outer edges.
