LeMieux Vector Balance Stirrup - Carbon/Silver. The LeMieux Vector stirrups represent a new generation of stirrups that are technically sophisticated and lightweight while maintaining the traditional design that LeMieux is known for. Since they are made of aviation grade aluminium, which has an excellent strength to weight ratio and weighs only 419g per stirrup, they are lighter than other stirrups on the market without sacrificing stability. The Balance Stirrup's ergonomic footplate has a cross-track grip surface, is tilted 5 degrees, and is mounted atop a layer of dynamic polymer with a 70% compression rating to absorb impact. When jumping, impact and vibrations are absorbed at the point of landing, reducing wear and tear on the knee and ankle as well as the strain on the muscles and tendons in the legs. Maximum boot security is provided by integrated hardened steel pins. A twin balance arch mechanism that supports the footplate uniformly distributes the weight over the base of the stirrup frame. The rider may find the best foot angle and recover a lost stirrup more easily since the frame's apex is recessed and offset, encouraging a 45 14 outward direction. A two-stage release method with an integrated hinged arm prevents unintended opening. After under extreme strain, as as when landing over a fence, the spring-loaded arm locks into the base of the main frame, distributing the rider's weight equally across the stirrup and preventing the outside from sinking and flexing. The stirrup's arm releases when pressure is applied to it, allowing the foot to exit and preventing it from becoming stuck.
