Our History

L'Erbolario was founded in Lodi in 1978, in a small shop that specialized in creating plant-derived cosmetics, however, it was actually founded prior to this, in the imagination of its two founders: Franco Bergamaschi and his wife Daniela Villa, biologist and cosmetologist. From the meticulous work of reconstructing their sources - old hygiene and beauty manuals, family recipe books and ancient handbooks from antique book stores - their knowledge developed, and grew, and continued to develop throughout almost 40 years of work.

When one names Vanilla, its unmistakable warm and enveloping perfume comes to mind... but from the fruits of this beloved exotic plant it is also possible to obtain other excellent cosmetic ingredients: the extract, with its precious toning and softening action, and the refreshing distilled water. The oils of Macadamia and organic Sunflower also provide their emollient function. Thanks to these active ingredients, even the most delicate hands will always be soft and exquisitely perfumed.
