Das geschnittene Steinkleekraut enthält Melilotin, Saponine, Gerbstoffe, Flavonoide, Schleimstoffe und ätherische Öle. Das Steinkleekraut wird als Kräutertee verwendet. Dazu werden 1-2 Teelöffel Steinkleekraut mit 250 ml kochendem Wasser übergossen und nach 10 Minuten abgeseiht. Man trinkt pro Tag 2-3 Tassen.
