Frequently Asked Questions
Tape placement problem
Positioning refers to the posture in which the body sits during the tape placement procedure. The main mechanism of the tape is its intramuscular effect. If you want to relax the soft tissue, the muscles should be in an elongated state, and the direction of retraction of the tape should be opposite to the direction of muscle contraction.
Taping time issue
A single taping can last up to 5 days. Generally, it will last for 1-3 days. If the elasticity of the patch is worn for a long time, the effect will decrease. During the Summer, if a lot of sweating occurs, the duration of the worn tape should be shortened and replaced more periodically. Sometimes, due to special needs, the sticking time can be shorter. For example, in competitive sports, the best time to use the tape is during the activity, and then a follow-up replacement taping is used immediately after the exercise on the relaxed muscles.
Bathing and sweating problems
The patch has great water resistance. Make sure the water temperature is not too high during the showers. Do not take overly long showers with high pressure over the taped area. Towels and paper towels can be used after the bath/shower to absorb the moisture on the surface, which will not hinder the normal use of the patch. However, sweating belongs to endogenous water, and temperature rise can easily lead to gel denaturation and degumming, so the patch should be replaced after a lot of sweating.
Patch allergy problems
The allergy of the patch is related to the individual. It is also related to the location, method, and time of the patch and the type of gel of the patch. If you are allergic, it is recommended that the tape level should not be too dense. In this case, a single tape application is limited to 24 hours and a low-allergic series of tapes should be used. If obvious allergies occur, please stop and use the tape appropriately after the skin is repaired.
The problem of excessive hair
In principle, when sticking a patch where there are hairs, you should remove the hair before sticking, otherwise it will affect the attachment of the patch.
Disposal of the patch falling off
If the end of the patch is lifted, the lifted part can be cut off, and the end can be cut into a round shape to fit the skin again. If the "anchor" (fixed end) of the patch is lifted, the patch will lose its mechanical fixing point and the mechanical action will be ineffective, so it should be re-attached.
