Fairtrade Red Sichuan Pepper Grain

Called Sichuan red pepper, it is actually a citrus fruit and therefore brings to your dishes the flavours of ripe lemon, with a slightly woody aroma. It will accompany your fish, shellfish and meat dishes. Used in your sweet preparations, it goes well with your sorbets, fruit salads and chocolate desserts.

Derived from a thorny shrub, Zanthoxyllum Piperitum, Sichuan red pepper has analgesic and soothing properties.

Fairtrade Green Sichuan Pepper Grain

The green Sichuan pepper is also a citrus fruit and is harvested before it is ripe.

It gives off a powerful scent of citrus and lemongrass. On the palate it recalls notes of liquorice, green anise and cloves. Its freshness goes perfectly with fish and meat, but also with sweet dishes.

Like the red Sichuan pepper, which is harvested when ripe, the green Sichuan pepper is also used in Chinese medicine for its analgesic and soothing properties.

Fairtrade Red Shandong Pepper Grain

Used in Asian cuisine, Shandong pepper is a citrus fruit, revealing sweet, fresh and slightly spicy notes.

This pepper adds a sweet and spicy note to all your dishes, meats, vegetables or desserts. Shandong red pepper goes very well with spices such as star anise, ginger, Ceylon cinnamon or red pepper.

Shandong pepper is grown in a temperate climate from a shrub called Zanthoxylum.

Kampot Black Pepper

Black pepper has a full-bodied nose with subtle nuances of bergamot-like odours. Gustatively, this berry is characterised by a strong spicy taste with aniseed undertones.

Kampot Red Pepper

The smell of red pepper is somewhere between that of chilli and red fruits. Once in the mouth, it is sweeter than its black and white cousins thanks to fruity touches of cardamom, anise and saddlery. However, it has a spicy taste when it bursts in your mouth.

Kampot White Pepper

In terms of smell, Kampot white pepper has a powerful odour with a very animal tone. In terms of taste, white pepper is the strongest of the three peppers: it offers a particular power in the mouth while giving off fine and subtle aromas.

Sichuan Province

The province of Sichuan is located in the southwest of China, and Sichuan peppers are grown in the mountainous area. This province has peaks that can reach more than 6,000 metres in altitude.

With its natural parks, such as the Unesco listed Jiuzhaigou, the pandas of Shengdu Park, the sacred mountains of Taoism, Sichuan is THE tourist destination par excellence and can be considered as "China's natural jewel case".

Shandong is a Chinese province located in the east, on the Yellow Sea.

This was once the site of the State of Qi, the last kingdom conquered by Qin Shi Huang, who proclaimed himself China's first emperor in 219 BC in a ceremony on Mount Tai.
