This allows you to switch between mixed mode digital and analog NXDN protocols. With 64 channels evenly distributed over 4 zones, this push-to-talk radio enables easy communication in business and industrial environments. The radio is equipped with a 16-code voice-reversing scrambler in analog mode, and NXDN's robust 15-bit digital encryption ensures complete confidentiality and security in digital mode. Packed with features such as radio-to-radio clone (requires optional clone cable), adjustable mic gain, channel search, button lock, timeout timer, low battery warning and voice prompts, this device is a complete package. It has an IP54/55 water/dust resistance rating and is designed to 11 military standards 810 to ensure optimal performance in harsh working environments.

Confidentiality in radio communications is a KENWOOD priority, and helping to maintain a high level of security in analog mode is a 16-code voice inversion scrambler, while robust NXDN Digital 15 Bit encryption is available in digital mode. A large 7-colour LED indicator on the top panel illuminates to notify multi-status functions. Built to take rough treatment in stride, the NX-P1200NV has passed the demanding IP54/55 dust and water intrusion tests – both with and without the KMC-45 optional speaker microphone. It also meets or exceeds 11 stringent MIL-STD 10 C/D/E/F/G environmental standards, including “driven rain”.
