Juwel Phorax is a highly efficient filter medium for reducing phosphates in your aquarium.It effectively reduces algae growth and can contribute significantly to improved plant growth.Phosphates regularly get into the aquarium through fish feed and are hardly broken down in a natural way.However, plants need only the slightest amounts of phosphate for their natural growth (fresh water: 0.05 mg/l, sea water 0.01 mg/l).Too much phosphate may be triggered by an algae plague.Phorax consists of an aluminum mineral that binds loosened phosphate by forming a water -insoluble aluminum phosphate and thus removes the water.As a result, Juwel Phorax is highly effective and binds up to 12 mg phosphate per gram of Phorax. JUWEL Phorax ist ein hocheffizientes Filtermedium zum Abbau von Phosphaten in Ihrem Aquarium. Es reduziert wirksam das Algenwachstum und kann erheblich zum verbesserten Pflanzenwachstum beitragen. Phosphate gelangen regelmäßig durch Fischfutter in das Aquarium und werden auf natürlichem Wege kaum abgebaut. Pflanzen benötigen jedoch nur geringste Mengen an Phosphat für ihr natürliches Wachstum (Süßwasser: 0,05 mg/l, Meerwasser 0,01 mg/l). Zuviel Phosphat kann unter Umständen zum Auslöser einer Algenplage werden. Phorax besteht aus einem Aluminiummineral, das gelöstes Phosphat durch Bildung eines wasserunlöslichen Aluminiumphosphats bindet und somit dem Wasser entzieht.
