Cooking Directions - On the Stove In a saucepan, bring 2 cups water to boil. If desired, add tub margarine and salt. Stir in 1 cup of rice. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Makes about 3 cups cooked rice. Cooking Directions - In the Microwave In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish combine 2- cups water and 1 cup rice. If desired, add tub margarine and salt. Cover and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. NOTE: It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary.
