Dry Run Shut-off Protection

When the heating rod is exposed to air, the heater will stop working, then sound the E1 error code alarm and turn the blue light on.
Solution: Unplug and place the heating rod fully in water.

1.Always unplug your heater first before carrying out any water change then plug it back in when the heater is fully submerged.

2. Let the heater cool for at least 15 minutes before removing it from the aquarium.

3. Make sure the heater rod does not touch the sand or gravel on the tank bottom because the heat difference will likely crack your heater glass.

4. The heater must be fully submerged underwater at least 5 inches all the time, the plastic guard will be melted if the heater is exposed to the air when it's heating or not cooling down.

5. Keep water in circulation for better distribution of the heat.

6. To avoid the device overheating and ensure its better performance, it's better to put it close to the tank filter.
