Checklist before purchasing:
1. If your DVR only supports 960H, D1, CIF resolution, please switch the camera to CVBS mode, or else there will be no signal, no picture.
a. Power on the camera.
b. Push the OSD joystick leftward for 5 seconds to switch it to CVBS mode.
2. At least DC 12V 2A power adapter is required.
a. If the power cable length is less than 30ft, then the DC12V 2A power adapter is required.
b. If the power cable length is above 30ft, then the DC12V 5A power adapter is required.
3. Power supply, coaxial video cable, and DVR are NOT INCLUDED but REQUIRED.
4. 1080P HD modes(TVI, AHD, CVI) do NOT compatible with 720P or 960P DVR.
FAQ:
1. No signal, no image, won't power up, not compatible with our system, etc.
A: The only reason is that your DVR could only support 960H or D1 resolution, but you did not switch the video mode to CVBS mode. Power on the camera and push the OSD joystick leftward for 5 seconds to switch it to CVBS mode.
2. The camera keeps blinking on and off constantly at night.
a. Please check if your power adapter is DC12V 2A-5A. If the power cable length is less than 30ft, then the DC12V 2A power adapter is required. If the power cable length is above 30ft, then the DC12V 5A power adapter is required.
b. Please keep a proper distance between the camera lens and the wall to avoid strong IR reflection from the wall. This will cause a flashing problem.
3. The image is foggy at night.
a. Please avoid anything too close to the camera that will cause strong IR reflection, the strong IR reflection will cause a foggy night vision image.
b. Make sure you have manually zoomed the camera to 100% clarity.
4. The image is distorted.
a. Please check the power supply, it should be at least DC12V 2A-5A. The power supply should be from a reliable supplier.
b. If the video cable or coaxial cable is too old, the video signal will be affected, so you may have to buy a new reliable video cable.
