The story of Ambrosoli and linked to that of its founder, Giovanni Battista Ambrosoli, who in the early twentieth century in Ronago in the province of Como, developed an authentic passion for beekeeping

I became a beekeeper because I was a keen honey consumer.

Officially the company G.B. Ambrosoli was founded with the Chamber of Commerce in 1923. Within a few years the company managed to develop a modern beekeeping and began packaging honey in jars, with particular regard to the quality of the raw material.

A century has passed, but the rigor we put into selecting honey producers has never changed. Even today, our suppliers have to pass different knowledge tests and confidence levels that can last for years.

The raw materials of our products are obtained with respect for the environment and biodiversity, in awareness of the fundamental role played by beekeeping in the ecosystem.

We transform honey with technologies that protect its organoleptic and nutritional integrity, subjecting it to constant controls, through analysis in both internal, external and independent laboratories.

A family tradition that continues to this day

In the 1930s we witnessed a first boom in demands for honey products.

In order to meet the ever-growing demand, we have started selecting the best honey producers abroad, thus inaugurating a business model that still today represents the key to our success.

Given the limitations of honey production in Italy, we also rely on producers located in the purest areas of the world, sparsely populated areas, with clean air, and whose honey stands out for its exceptional quality.

Our honey today is made as it used to be, and then packed with modern techniques. The goal is that of a century ago: constant and meticulous work in favour of quality, research and testing of new beekeeping techniques, the diffusion of the culture and tradition of the territories of which the company interprets.

In 2023 we are proud to be able to celebrate the 100 years of history of our company, built day after day on the direct relationship with our manufacturers.
