Salt is one of nature's great treasures and as a naturally occurring and hand produced product may have slight variations in the colour.

A unique method of seasoning and serving food, our Himalayan salt blocks are carved from naturally occurring deposits of pink rock salt in Pakistan.

It can be slowly heated for cooking, used as a chilled plate for presentation purposes or simply used for flavour and curing.

How to use


Heating Heat slowly following the instructions included with the item. Compatible with gas hob and induction (with use of appropriate heat diffusing plate). Temperatures of around 400-600F recommended for cooking.	Cooking Cook as you would on a hot plate. High temperatures will moderate the salty flavour, lower temperatures will allow more of the salt to infuse. Adjust to preference. Note: Used blocks generally turn an opaque pink after heating.	Cleaning Do not hold under running water, do not use in dishwasher. Once used, scrape the excess food from the block and wipe down with a damp cloth. Salt is naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial.	Drying and Storage It is essential to dry your block thoroughly before storage in a cool dry place. Blocks attract and absorb moisture and excess moisture will compromise the integrity of the block, leading to cracking when used again.
