Yunnan Gold black tea is easily identified by its abundance of soft golden tips and savoury cocoa and black pepper flavours. This artisan tea hails from the Yunnan province of China the birthplace of tea itself. The flavour becomes earthier and more layered as it cools. The soft rounded cup is silky and perfect. It is also a very forgiving tea and will not taste bitter when over-steeped. Allowed to take only one tea to a desert island this golden Yunnan would be our clear choice. Makes a fabulous breakfast tea. It comes in 250 g biodegradable pouch. INGREDIENTS Black Tea. DIRECTIONS Black Tea Take 1 teaspoon of tea leaves. About 2 grams of leaves is ideal. Pour freshly boiled water over the tea leaves. Boil the water to 100 degrees celsius. You can then let it cool a bit. Steep for 3-5 minutes depending on your taste.
