Hessian Coffee founders, Neil Clark and Niall McCrae, have spent many years running businesses which roast, wholesale and serve coffee and spend much of their time with customers helping to build their beverage offering. Espresso No.1 uses 100% Arabica whole bean coffee. Picked from Central and South American growing regions and blended at our roastery. This coffee comes from El Salvador, Costa Rica and Colombia. Giving the coffee a sweetness, yet still it has a smooth body. The finished coffee has a bright citrus finish. Also you will find it works extremely well as either an espresso or as part of your milk based drinks. Espresso No.1 Coffee from Central America In Central America, you will find varying acidity across the beans. Beans from this region are usually known for there balancing flavours. These flavours make them good for people just getting started on their relationship with coffee. Not too bitter, not too acidic! Offering fairly smooth flavours, like chocolate. Costa Rica known for heavier-bodied coffee. However, if you go west to Mexico, you will find the coffees tend to be a little lighter. Coffee from South America Moving to South America, which have a wider flavour profile. Colombia, which is one of the top coffee producing countries in the world. From here, you can expect an even, well-rounded taste. Also moderate acidity and sweetness, and a medium to full body. Probably the kind of coffee you may already be most used to drinking.
