The Food Pouch is made of 100% Food-grade silicone. Silicone is a very absorbent material and absorbs smells and colours from materials/foods it encounters due to being porous. For that reason, the Food Pouch can become discoloured. However, silicone does not leach and is incredibly safe to use.

One of the most common suggestions for getting smells and stains out of silicone is to make a paste of baking soda and water, rub it all over the product and then soak it in a 50-50 mixture of white vinegar and warm to hot water for about 30-60min. After this, clean your silicone item thoroughly with warm soapy water. We recommend then sterilizing it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
