'Recycled' means the plastic contains recycled content. This helps close the loop.

Green Oil makes performance products which have won independent awards.

We don't believe it's morally right to use PTFE, because it makes a carcinogen in its production, and it accumulates in the environment. PTFE is a polyflourinated chemical.

Petrochemical free

Petrochemicals can be harmful to the environment. Oil spills show this. It takes a long time to break down. Oil extraction is an energy intensive and dirty business.

Sustainably sourced, plant based ingredients

We use over 27 different plants to make the Green Oil range. Because plants absorb carbon, our products are probably carbon negative. A 100ml bottle absorbs around 100 grams of CO2 to create. Plant based ingredients are less harmful to the environment. Plants from crops, fruits leaves and various sources make our range.

No palm oil

In Indonesia and other countries, indigenous people get kicked off their land, orangutans get shot, and rainforest is burnt to the ground. This is all to grow palm oil plantations. Palm oil is used for biofuels, and in shampoo, soap and many other items. We don't use palm oil in any of our products. We use sustainably sourced plants instead.

PTFE Free

PTFE makes a carcinogen in its production. PTFE accumulates in the food chain, the environment, and in body tissue. Due to using toxic chain lube and greases, many mechanics have suffered dermatitis and poor health. We're changing that by formulating products without PTFE or petrochemicals.

ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY: The plastic-free design does not leave harmful footprints on the surroundings. Plant-based bristles that come out of these brushes are biodegradable and hence will not litter the ground like plastic bristles. A 100% biodegradable formula free of plastics is a sustainable solution to the ecosystem. Made In Britain. DURABLE & SUSTAINABLE: Green Oil Bicycle Brushes with plant-based bristles are designed to last, standing up to the rigors of scrubbing down the thickest layers of dirt and grime. The sturdy design has a life expectancy of up to 10 years, so bikers will not need to worry about a replacement in the near future. COMPLETE BIKE CLEANING BRUSH: Primarily designed to clean bike chains and sprockets, the Green Oil brush goes a long way with spokes, wheel rims, and hard to reach areas. Long bristles are great for cleaning sprocket cogs. Cog spikes are perfect for cleaning out derailleur cogs. It is important to check the bristles of a brand-new brush for paint safety. However, after some use, they tend to soften down for safe use on bike frames, yet retaining the hardness needed for chains and sprockets. ERGONOMIC & EASY USE: Ergonomically designed wooden handle tapers inwards for a comfortable grip. The design combines the benefits of a “claw brush” without the inconvenience and discomfort associated with wrapping the fingers around the spikes for grip. Brush design allows easy cleaning of cassettes without removing them from the bike. NATURAL & GREEN: Green Oil Bicycle Brush uses plant-based bristles that are more resistant to clogs from dirt and grime compared to plastic bristles. Wooden handles are made using FSC certified wood, that guarantees sustainability by ensuring that new trees are planted after trees are chopped down. Plant-based bristles stay separate and do not get gummed up or glued by oil and grime, like plastic bristles.
