An extremely tasty, small, thin-skinned, oval shaped bean, which is cultivated and recently harvested by small farmers at the Feneos Plateau in Northern Peloponnese. Vanilla White Beans of Feneos have been certified as a product of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), as it has been grown by small family farms in the region of Feneos continuously since the end of the 19th century. Cultivation methods have remained stable and unchanged over time. The local cultivation practices together with the soil and micro-climatic conditions of the region contribute to the unique characteristics and the superior quality of our Vanilla White Beans. Enjoy the velvety texture, and the rich, savory, almost sweet flavour of the cooked White Beans of Feneos. They are great braised, and make great stews or bean salads along with fresh vegetables, avocado, tuna. Our White Beans pair also well with tomato sauce, wild greens, spinach and aromatic herbs.
