Instructions about How to Drill


Step 1,2 Cut off the 1/3 of original power knob with Hacksaw Drill out the riveted shaft with the 5/32'' drill bit on a drill press	Step 3 Drill a 15/64'' hole,you need to use a 5/32'' or smaller size drill bit to drill it at first,then use a 15/64'' hole to drill a suitable hole(make sure it's a straight hole)	Step 4 Fix the shaft with screws,put some loctite on the bolt peg to make sure it won't loosen.Then you can install the knob.

Put this power knob on my penn spinfisher 6500 live liner reel and it looks awesome!!! Only 4 stars bc it is a drill fit and a bit of a pain. If your not a patient person you won't get the install correct on this. You have to get the hole drilled out for a tight fit which i did but its a tedious process. Getting the ol rivot out was also a slow process. But end result looks awesome, fits tightly, spins very well w/ bearings- end all glad i went for it!!

Daiwa BG

Be prepared to take a hack saw blade to your existing handle in order to install this knob. I used a drill press to drill out the remaining original riveted shaft starting with a small bit and working my way up to a 15/64" bit. The knob was easy to install after that and it fits perfectly. I installed this knob on a Daiwa BG 6500. It feels just as good or better as the factory knobs on my Penn slammers.
