1. This is a new version P165-B embedded heatsink with 11mm thickness.

2. The P165-B embedded heatsink support install the 30mm(3010 or 3007) cooling fan. No cooling fan included in the packing list.

3. Add one piece thermal tape as gift in case you will need. But it is strongly recommend to use the CPU thermal conductive grease(not included) to attach on the CPU/RAM of Raspberry Pi 4 to get better heat dissipation. Due to shipping restrictions, please prepare the CPU grease yourself.

4. The Raspberry Pi 4 board or TF card is NOT included in the packing list.

Overview

This P165-B is an upgraded version of P165-A, which is perfectly compatible with POE extension.

Geekworm design new version embedded armor aluminum alloy heatsink(P165-B) to slove Raspberry Pi 4 excessive heat generation problem when use Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with its expansion board. This heatsink can also be used with a 30mm cooling fan above. The Raspberry Pi 4 POE port is available to use now for the new version.

FAQ

1. Why design this new P165-B 11mm embedded heatsink?

A: We found that the copper spacers height required for most Raspberry Pi expansion boards is 11mm, so we designed this 11mm embedded heatsink(P165-B). Compared with the old model(P165-A), the heat dissipation area is increased and the heat dissipation effect will be better; at the same time, this new version support POE extension;

2. What if the Raspberry Pi 4 expansion board comes into contact with the heatsink?

A: Please use the 2*20 female header to add the height of expanion board. (If you need gpio extension, please refer to ASIN: B0827THC7R)

3. What to do if the heat dissipation is not enough?

A: The P165-B heatsink thickness is 11mm, if the Pi 4 overclock for a long time, the heat dissipation may be insufficient and you need to add a cooling fan above the heatsink, the heatsink can support 3007 or 3010 cooling fan installation.

4. Does the heatsink support PoE expansion Board?

A: The P165-B heatsink reserves POE port of Raspberry Pi 4, the POE port is available to use. But the compatibility need to tested, there are different PoE expansion boards on the market.

5. What size screws are needed to attach a 30mm fan to the p165-b heatsink?

A: To attach 30mm fan above P165-B, you will need the M3 screws not M2.5. For 3010 fan, we receommend to use KM3x14mm screws.
