Frontier Co-op Organic Ceylon Cinnamon comes from the Cinnamomum verum plant and is known as "true cinnamon." The taste and aroma is sweet and carries a hint of clove flavor.

Great Ways To Use Frontier Co-op Cinnamon Sticks

Use as a stirring stick in your coffee or tea, cider and cocktails to add subtly infused flavor.
Add a whole stick to oatmeal or cream of wheat while you are cooking it.
Add a stick inside the rice steamer to give you a perfect finishing note to curry fried rice.
Drop a stick into a glass bottle of real maple syrup, it's amazing on pancakes and waffles!

CEYLON CINNAMON Frontier Co-op Organic Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) comes from a small evergreen tree called Cinnamomum Zeylanicum that belongs to the Lauraceae family. It is native to Sri Lanka. Its bark is used to make cinnamon, and it has a distinctive shape, lighter color tone, and a delicate flavor.	ORGANIC FROM SRI LANKA We work with our growers and small farmers to ensure they are cultivating the correct species or variety, harvesting the correct plant part at the ideal time and processing and storing it.	ABOUT FRONTIER CO-OP Owned by stores and organizations that buy and sell our products, Frontier Co-op has been a member-owned cooperative since 1976. We support natural living and our products are never irradiated or treated with ETO (Ethylene Oxide). We're committed to the health and welfare of the environment and everyone producing and consuming our botanical products.

RECIPE: PINEAPPLE TEPACHE WITH CINNAMON AND CLOVES

Directions

Dissolve sugar in a pint of water in the jar. You may use hot water; if you do, wait until mixture falls below body temperature before proceeding to next step.
Add cinnamon, other spices and pineapple chaff to the jar.
Add (room-temperature) water to two inches below mouth of jar.
Secure towel or filter over mouth of jar using ring portion of lid, and leave at room temperature.
The wine is ready after 4 days to a week; strain and drink. Or if you prefer vinegar, wait 3 or 4 weeks, then strain and store in a sealed container.

4 Cloves, whole
1 Star Anise, whole
Husk and core (but not crown) of one organic pineapple, rough-cut into 1-inch chunks
1 paper towel or basket-style coffee filter, unbleached
A half-gallon canning jar with two-part lid
