Friendly Soap was formed in 2008 by close friends Geoff Kerouac and Rob Costello. The pair always had a strong ethical leaning. They also shared an instinctive love of the natural world, inspired by their stunning Pennine surroundings. They wanted to produce a range of rigorously ethical high-quality products. In Friendly Soap, they seem to have managed just that.

We created Compact by Design to identify products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to dispatch. You won't find even the smallest smidgen of palm oil, preservatives or sulphates in any of our soaps all we add is feel-good factor. Our plastic-free boxes are recycled and recyclable, and we're also registered with The Vegan Society and Cruelty Free International.
