Friendly Soap was formed in 2008 by close friends Geoff Kerouac and Rob Costello. The pair always had a strong ethical leaning. They also shared an instinctive love of the natural world, inspired by their stunning Pennine surroundings. They wanted to produce a range of rigorously ethical high-quality products. In Friendly Soap, they seem to have managed just that.

We created Compact by Design to identify products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to dispatch.
