Das SAM XT Tourniquet dient zur temporären Blutstillung an den Extremitäten bei Erwachsenen. Das kompakte System eignet sich auch zur Ein-Hand-Selbstanwendung. Die Blutung wird dabei durch eine einfache Drehbewegung des Knebels gestoppt. Anschließend wird der Knebel durch das graue Klettband. Der spezielle Verschlussmechanismus sorgt für den notwendigen Zug auf dem Stauband des Tourniquets und verhindert Anwendungsfehler, die vor allem durch zu locker anliegende Staubänder entstehen können.
