Calmer Night is made from a soft-touch silicone and is designed to fit most ears. It’s been designed to reduce the most disruptive night-time noises which trigger our stress responses. Developed to help light sleepers, or anyone put on edge by unwanted evening noise to relax and get a good night’s sleep.

By reducing stress levels and removing the common trigger points that usually keep us on edge (phone alerts, sudden loud vocal sounds, dogs barking, noisy neighbours etc), the user is able to stay relaxed safe in the knowledge that these irritating noises will be reduced and softened. This is done by removing resonance. Resonance = distortion. Why don’t we want distortion? Distortion is noise. The definition of noise is unwanted sound, or sound that is judged to be unpleasant, loud or disruptive to hearing. This distorted sound loads us negatively. Much like poor diet, pollutants, distorted vision, which all affect our well-being, the sound we hear has the same effect.

Calmer Night will benefit anyone who has sensitive hearing and struggles with noise-related stress. Hyper-sensitivities (over-responsiveness) and hypo-sensitivities (under-responsiveness) to a wide range of stimuli are often things that autistic people find challenging. These can include sensitivities to sounds, smell, touch and taste.
