Pitt Charcoal Pencils Set

Natural charcoal sticks are the oldest sketching and drawing material in the world. The greyish-blue shade glides softly across the paper, rubs and smudges easily, and can be erased without difficulty and repeatedly overlaid. Their blueish hue has always held a fascination, even with the old masters. The charcoal pencils leave a much blacker line. Compressed charcoal with soot and clay give the charcoal pencils their deep black color and can be produced in different degree of hardness.

This tin includes a range of natural drawing charcoal sticks and pencils as well as charcoal in stick and pencil form in a range of degree of hardness.

Included are three Pitt compressed charcoal pencils in soft medium and hard, three Pitt natural charcoal pencils in soft, medium and hard, four Pitt natural charcoal sticks in size 5-8mm, four Pitt natural charcoal sticks in size 6-11mm, eight Pitt compressed charcoal sticks, two extra soft, two soft, two medium and two hard, one blending stump and one kneadable art eraser.

Each compressed charcoal pencil, natural charcoal pencil, natural charcoal stick and compressed charcoal stick is grease and oil free and has a very soft application. Compressed charcoal sticks and pencils come in the deepest, intensive black shade while natural charcoal pencils and sticks provide a bluish-black line and can be sharpened with an erasing knife or sharpening machine.
